Process models
Process models are simplified illustrations, representing a sequence of functions or activities.
These models document the existing sequence flow of functions / activities clearly .
For general clarity and consistency of process models symbols will be used as a standard description language.
SemTalk focuses on the creation of business process models. These business processes or parts thereof are identified and then modeled. Semtation GmbH offers the program SemTalk for modeling business processes and knowledge structures, an easy to use but very powerful modeling tool based on Microsoft Visio. Accepted and maintainable models are created with little effort and established the company.
You can work with SemTalk in different notations. These include inter alia:
- CSA (= Communication structure analysis) is a multiphase, science-based analysis method that takes the factor of production information, a central role
- EPC (= Event-driven process chain) is a formal, structured summary of information orientied processes that serve a common process goal.
- BPMN (= Business Process Modeling Notation) enables graphical modeling of business processes in a standardized and comprehensive notation from a business and technical perspective.
- PROMET (not included in the standard)
- OMEGA (not included in the standard)
- Viable System Model (not included in the standard)
